Yay for finger prints! :D
My copy of Windows 7 showed up today, which was a bit of surprise considering the postal strike that is currently underway. I guess not as many of the posties were for it as first thought.
Anyways, I’ve been running it for the last 11 hours (not straight, I have been to sleep during that time) and I’m loving it so far. Despite the jump straight from Windows XP to Windows 7 it feels like I’ve been using this OS for years because all of the new features seem so natural. With a search bar in the Start Menu and other bits like Aero Shake and Aero Snap it makes you wonder why Microsoft hadn’t implemented this long before now.
It’s also nice to know that the new PC scored well on the Windows Experience Index even though it was inevitably let down by drive performance (no solid-state drives installed ).
For those who don’t know 7.9 is the best score for each component and the overall score is determined by the lowest score, which is just… crap!
